IN LA’KECH is a collective blog, showcasing the work of friends across the globe.
It hopes to connect and educate us, by creating a platform on which to upload our thoughts about on-going youth cultural movements. In this way, we can document and keep up-to-date with what is going on further afield in the lives of our friends.
With most us meeting whilst on exchange in Mexico, it seemed only natural that the blog should be titled somewhat after this adventure. IN’LAKECH is a Maya phrase that translates as “I am you, and you are me”[i], thus suggesting a direct relationship between one another and each other’s cultures. Some of the entries might be in other languages so as to allow for complete creative freedom, and to avoid limiting ourselves to only one audience. In this way we hope to attract anybody and everybody interested in our chosen subject area.
“The world is only as small as we see it. Imagination knows no limits.”
